A Merry Christmas to All Our Members and Friends!

The last meeting of the year was well attended.  Kate Bickford explained about the business model of Forever Living and showed it is that Forever won it’s Investor in People Award. Thanks went to Jane Buswell of Business Fulcrum for arranging such a Fabulous Christmas Do, and to Gail Bloomfield of Right HR for her chairing over the last couple of months. A special Christmas Prize was won by Sarah Lowe for her one minute pantomime! stars

So, a Merry Christmas to All and we look forward to our first meeting of the year on 9th January, with Gemma Wheeler to chair and Trevor Loveland to do the presentation.

What motivates you and your employees?

Image of Val DownMotivation was the subject that Val Down, of Act-On Business Solutions spoke about at the Winchester Business Group.

As an experienced trainer specialising in the skills needed to run a business and motivate and manage people, she demonstrated how Motivational Mapping can increase performance, build business success and profits by improving staff and team motivation.

The Oscar was won by Belinda, photographer, who spoke about … well, nothing at all really.

Two very different presentations this morning from Trojan Mailing and Richard Knight Cars

Craig Brown of Trojan Mailing showed us how his company offers people with mental disabilities the first step into the employment market. In running a mailing house which provides a friendly, cheerful environment with plenty of support, he is able to offer  mailing service at an incredibly competitive rate.

Richard Knight of Richard Knight Cars talked in his usual honest and open way, about the service he offers to finding second hand cars for his clients. With his expertise he is able to source cars which are genuinely good deals, with no pressurised selling, and help with finance if needed.

Mandy Papas of Positively YOU HypnotherapyToday saw the whole business group relax under the spell of Mandy Papas of Positively YOU Hypnotherapy. And whilst enjoying the benefits of being totally chilled out, we were susceptive to positive and empowering ideas of reaching the goals that we strive for.  It appears that stress is a negative force when it comes to realising dreams!

Janine’s new website

Janine says, “I am really thrilled as a London company contacted me yesterday about advertising in a new CD Rom that is to go on the front cover of the national magazine ‘Brides’.  They had found me on the web and saw my Hen Party advert!  I probably won’t advertise on it but at least they found me after 4 days of having my website.”

Sales Producing Activities
